The urge to explore the magnificent land of the Inuit, the forbidding Arctic with its unique wildlife, has been a driving force for Wildlife Photographer Ken White. Of particular interest have been the Polar Bears and capturing these Heavyweights of the Northland on film has certainly been no easy task. Ken's expeditions required several years, seasons and locales to photograph the mighty Ice Bears in their natural habitat.

Ken discovered Arctic North was not just a frozen uninhabitable wasteland, but a remote area of exceptional natural beauty. Of the creatures there, the towering white Polar Bear best embodies the grandeur of the Arctic.

From the melting ice fields of Wager Bay to the snow covered tundra grasslands of Churchill, many different venues of Polar Bear interactions are possible. To see several sets of mothers with twin spring cubs in search of food, while keeping healthy distances between families, makes Wager Bay a remarkable experience. Witnessing usually solitary bears trying to coexist with each other while waiting for the return of the icefields, creates many photo opportunities at Churchill.

The very best of these remarkable images are represented here as "The Antics of the Arctic" and are now available as Limited Edition Fine Art Prints.
